Driver behavior scoring for rental and chauffeur fleets
Harsh braking, acceleration and cornering events roll up into a simple score, and each event is tied to the customer who had the car at that time.
What you get
Three event types
Harsh braking, harsh acceleration and harsh cornering, each with a g-force magnitude.
Severity buckets
Minor, moderate and severe at 0.4 g and 0.7 g, each with its own penalty.
Driver score
100 minus the penalties, never below zero, shown on the vehicle.
Contract attribution
Events are matched to the contract active at that timestamp, so the customer is known.
Events outside contracts
Still recorded without a customer, so nothing is lost.
Same style of feed
Telematics hardware posts events the same way it posts positions.
Frequently asked questions
How is the score calculated?
It starts at 100 and subtracts 2, 5 or 10 points per event depending on severity, never going below zero.
Can I see which customer caused an event?
Yes, when a rental contract had the vehicle out at the time of the event.
Do I need extra hardware?
You need a device or gateway that can send harsh-driving events with a g-force value.
